I may have mentioned once or twice how important I think it is to keep your investors updated on how your business is progressing.
Doing it ad-hoc by email just doesn’t cut it. Even more so when you have hundreds of investors involved in your business.
So working with a crowdfunding platform is an obvious route to market for Supdate. It’s a crowded market (no pun intended) so I decided to first approach the best in town – Crowdcube.
As we discussed the various ways in which Supdate could integrate with their platform and the benefits it’d bring to the hundreds of businesses and over 500,000 members on their platform, it became apparent that it might make more sense for them to acquire Supdate outright.
The timing was good too – getting reporting done right was moving ever higher up their agenda and I have been spending a lot of time focusing on other projects.
Which brings us to today. As you may have seen on TechCrunch this morning, Supdate is now fully owned by Crowdcube and I hope it’ll become a core communications tool in their platform.
Thank you all for your support over the last couple of years.
P.S. The fact that both of us had orange as our brand colour honestly had nothing to do with it!
